A nice sweet winter squash with dry orange flesh. It has smooth, deep orange-red flesh that is fairly easy to peel if you wish to simmer it in soups or curries. Or cut in half & roast as you would any other winter squash. Keeps at cool room temperature for several weeks.
A gorgeous winter variety of radish that features a rather mild flavored bright magenta sun-burst of a center. Beautiful & delicious grated raw into salads or sliced with dip, pickled, or cooked briefly in soups or stir-fries. In a plastic bag in your fridge they will keep for months, their flavor getting mellower with age.
Not just “fancy onions”, shallots condense the flavors of sweet onions, garlic, & leeks all in one cute little package. Adds deep flavor to salads, dressings, & sauces. Should keep for several weeks at cool room temperature.
