n February, the Truth in Labeling Coalition submitted a Citizen's Petition to the FDA asking that they label genetically engineered foods. The agency has requested an extension of their reply time to further study this issue instead of just issuing a blanket rejection. Lots of grassroots response could make a big difference at this juncture. You and your members can contact the FDA and ask that they grant the Citizen Petition to label genetically engineered foods in a variety of ways:
